Ten Top American Universities Most Friendly to Terrorists

A holy war of conquest and extermination is being waged against America and the West, against Christians and Jews, and against infidels generally. Iraq, Syria, Israel and the United States are among the prime targets of this war, which is being waged with a savagery by al-Qaeda, ISIS and Hamas that has shocked the world. But even more shocking than the barbarism of these groups is the fact that there are organizations on American campuses that support the agendas of these terrorists and spread their propaganda lies, and do so with the financial and institutional support of university administrations.

Two of these organizations, the Muslim Students Association (MSA) and Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), were created by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, godfather group to al-Qaeda and Hamas. They are the chief sponsors of annual campus events called “Israeli Apartheid Weeks” whose sole purpose is to spread the propaganda lies of the terrorist organization Hamas, and to demonize the Jewish state. They lead chants which call for the destruction of the Jewish state “from the river to the sea.” They are the chief sponsors of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, inspired by Hamas, whose goal is the economic strangulation of the Jewish state. Leaders of the Muslim Students Association have gone on to high-level positions in al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. The most notorious of these was Anwar al-Awlaki, the head of al-Qaeda in the Yemen, who inspired the Fort Hood massacre and who before that was president of the Muslim Students Association at Colorado State.

These terrorist support organizations are afforded campus privileges, including university offices and the right to hold events on campus grounds that would be denied to any other group that preached hatred of ethnic groups or supported barbaric terrorists who slaughter men, women and children as part of a demented mission to cleanse the earth of infidels. We are publishing this report to put a spotlight on these American college campuses most supportive of these sinister activities, which put not only our ally Israel in danger, but our homeland as well.

Illustration: The Hamas Maps

The series of maps pictured here and above are a propaganda tool of Hamas that have been spread across American campuses by SJP, MSA and their leftwing allies, often with funds and support provided by college administrations. These maps are genocidal lies, featured on every Israeli Apartheid Wall erected with the student funds provided to these groups. They purport to show a Palestinian state in 1947, which is steadily infiltrated and occupied by Jews who transform it into today’s Israel. Contrary to what is shown on these maps, there never was a state called Palestine, and the state of Israel was created by the UN, not out of land that belonged to the Arabs, but out of land that belonged to the Turks for 400 years until they joined the aggressors in World War I. (The same Turkish land was used to create the Arab states of Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.) These fraudulent maps were designed by Hamas to justify the extermination of the Jews, as called for in the Hamas Charter, and the destruction of the Jewish state.

Brandeis University

Brandeis University is one of the few prominent universities in America to be founded by Jews and is named for the first Jewish justice on the Supreme Court, Louis D. Brandeis. But ironically, given these associations, Brandeis is one of the U.S. universities most friendly to terrorists. It is a campus that rescinded an honorary degree to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a critic of radical Islam and advocate of Muslim women’s rights, while granting one to notoriously anti-Semitic playwright Tony Kushner. Brandeis also hosted a secret listserve where prominent professors exchanged emails attacking Israel and supporting the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement inspired by the Muslim Brotherhood. When one Brandeis student was called to account for having used her personal twitter account to call for an Intifada, she was vigorously defended by the campus chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). Two additional Brandeis students sought to restore relations between the university and Al Quds University in Palestine which has recently held multiple rallies supporting the terror group Hamas.

Supporting Evidence:

April 4, 2011: A university panel featuring six members of the Israeli Knesset is disrupted by Brandeis SJP activists who repeatedly call the members “war criminals” and attempt to distribute fake warrants calling for their arrest. The students particularly target Avi Dichter, former head of Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security agency, accusing him of torture. One student calls to him in Hebrew, “Don’t worry Avi Dichter, we'll meet you in The Hague.”

March 26, 2012: Members of Brandeis SJP disrupt an event featuring members of the Israeli Knesset which is held at a local Temple. The SJP members wear shirts with “apartheid” written on them in Hebrew and shout slogans, including “Israel is an apartheid state and the Knesset is an apartheid parliament!” and “We will not welcome Israeli officials to any Brandeis University event until apartheid ends!”

February 2014: Brandeis SJP stages “Israel Apartheid Week,” a weeklong series of anti-Israel events designed to demonize Israel and create a rationale for its extinction.Events included a speech by notorious anti-Israel activist Max Blumenthal, author of Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel, a book about which one reviewer commented,  “It is no exaggeration to say that it could have been published by the Hamas Book-of-the-Month Club (if it existed).”

April 2014: Under pressure from students and faculty, Brandeis withdraws an honorary degree offered to women’s rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Some students protested because the Somali-born Ali, who has condemned the mistreatment of women in Muslim countries, especially female genital mutilation, is a vehement critic of radical Islam. The tipping point in the controversy came when eighty-seven Brandeis faculty members signed a petition calling for rescinding Ali’s degree because of her “extreme Islamophobic beliefs.” (The term “Islamophobia” has been used polemically by the Muslim Brotherhood to censor any criticism of Islam, including Sharia law.)

Brandeis had previously awarded an honorary degree to playwright Tony Kushner, who has a long history of anti-Semitic statements, among them the claim that “The biggest supporters of Israel are the most repulsive members of the Jewish community.”

April 2014: Two Brandeis students, Eli Philip and Catriona Stewart, who serve as co-presidents of the anti-Israel, Jewish student organization, J. Street U., received a $10,000 grant from an organization called the Davis Projects for Peace to travel to Al Quds University in Palestine to attempt to repair relations between Al Quds and Brandeis. The previous relationship between the universities formed in 2003 was severed in 2013 after Al Quds hosted rallies for Hamas during which participants performed a traditional Nazi salute. Philip and Stewart previously disrupted the speech of an IDF member on campus.

July 2014: A Jewish student at Brandeis, Daniel Mael, exposes a secret faculty email Listserve of 92 left-wing professors at Brandeis. Some participants in the listserve expressed extreme anti-Israel views while also supporting Hamas’ rhetoric and positions. Professor Donald Hindley, for instance, referred to the Jewish state as “The Vile, Terrorist Israeli Government,” in a post about the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers by Hamas terrorists. Hindley also sarcastically wrote: “Zionist olive trees grow wondrously on Palestinian corpses…In that way, we combine great trees with our own holocaustic ethnic cleansing.”

Hindley also compared an event challenging the anti-Semitic BDS movement to a Nazi rally, describing it as “Germany in the later 1930s with everyone at least a Nazi sympathizer” and asking “Will the lunch be kosher?”

Also on the listserve, Brandeis sociology professor Gordon Fellman sought signatures for an open letter to “end the illegal occupation in Palestine.” According to the letter, “the government of Israel, having provoked the firing of rockets by its rampage through the West Bank, is now using that response as the pretext for an aerial assault on Gaza which has already cost scores of lives.”

November 9, 2014: Brandeis SJP posts a petition in support of convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmeah Odeh on its Facebook page. Odeh was convicted by an Israeli military court in 1970 for her involvement in two fatal terrorist bombings. She was subsequently convicted of immigration fraud by a U.S. federal jury in 2014, after she failed to disclose her previous conviction on her application for U.S. citizenship. Odeh has claimed that she was tortured into confessing to the Israeli bombings, but U.S.prosecutors have uncovered Israeli military reports indicating that they found “explosive bricks in her room” along with “extensive bomb-making materials and explosives.”

December 2014: Brandeis junior Khadijah Lynch, an undergraduate department representative in the African and Afro-American Studies Department, is exposed for her violent anti-American and anti-Israel tweets, including “amerikka needs an intifada. enough is enough” and “a social justice themed institution grounded in zionism. word. thats a fucking fanny dooley.”
When Jewish student Daniel Mael published her public tweets, Lynch attacked him and Mael subsequently received death threats. Brandeis SJP defended Lynch in a public statement on Facebook.

March 21-27, 2015:  Brandeis SJP holds Israel Apartheid Week on campus. Israel Apartheid Week is a weeklong series of anti-Israel events designed to demonize and destroy Israel. Events include a talk on “Facing the Ongoing Nakba.” (Nakba, an Arabic term meaning “catastrophe,” is used by Hamas and its supporters to describe the creation of Israel). The “Nakba” event includes a display of the false Hamas maps which purport to show the infiltration and colonization by Israel of Arab “Palestine.” The Week also includes a talk by Professor Sa’ed Atshan, an anti-Israel activist who currently serves as a professor in “Peace and Conflict Studies” at Swarthmore College, who has called Gaza an “open-aired prison” and has referred to Israeli military strategy as “scorched-Earth policy.”

April 23, 2015: Professor Noam Chomsky, known for his extreme anti-Israel views, spoke at Brandeis. During his speech, he described Israel’s actions towards Palestine as “vicious, brutal and criminal” and claimed that Israel “is alone in denying” its “illegal occupation of territories.”

May 2015: Former U.S. Ambassador Thomas Pickering, known for his extreme anti-Israel views, gives the Commencement address at Brandeis. In an op-ed recently co-written for Politico.com, Pickering referred to “Israel’s half-century-long occupation” and states that “the marginal improvement in Israel’s security provided by these expansive Israeli demands can hardly justify the permanent subjugation and disenfranchisement of a people to which Israel refuses to grant citizenship in the Jewish state.”

Columbia University

If only for its Center for Palestine Studies (CPS), a blatantly political organization embedded in the campus educational structure which has brought BDS movement founder Omar Barghouti to campus and has included a series of Hamas maps falsely showing the Jewish infiltration and colonization of Arab “Palestine” on its event posters, Columbia University would deserve a place on the list of colleges most friendly to terrorists. The idea that such a Palestine ever existed and that Jews have “colonized” it is a propaganda claim by the terror group Hamas that CPS has parroted. But Columbia is also home to a virulent SJP chapter which holds yearly Israeli Apartheid Weeks and numerous other events to demonize the Jewish state. One of its star professors, Joseph Massad, has been accused of harassing Jewish and pro-Israel students.Columbia President Lee Bollinger invited Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak on campus. After being accorded a warm reception, Ahmadinejad used the occasion not only to deny the traditional narrative of the Holocaust but also to urge the audience to investigate “who was truly involved” in the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Supporting Evidence:

2004-2005: Columbia Professor Joseph Massad, who teaches in the department of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures (MEALAC), is accused by several Jewish students of making anti-Semitic remarks and treating them unfairly because they refuse to criticize Israel. One Israeli student who had previously served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) states that Massad asked him in class how many Palestinians he had killed. Massad reportedly told another student, “If you’re going to deny the atrocities being committed against Palestinians, then you can get out of my classroom.”

Massad has described Israel as a “Jewish supremacist and racist state” and stated that “[e]very racist state should be destroyed.” He has also said that “it is only by making the costs of Jewish supremacy too high that Israeli Jews will give it [Israel] up.”

A pro-Israel organization, the David Project, produced a film titled Columbia Unbecoming which helped to publicize the accusations brought against Massad and other professors in the MEALAC department at Columbia. A grievance committee at Columbia investigated the evidence against Massad but concluded that there was “no basis for believing that Professor Massad systematically suppressed dissenting views in his classroom.”

On September 24, 2007, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who had repeatedly called for Israel’s destruction and said that the Jewish homeland will be “wiped off the map,” speaks at Columbia at the invitation of Columbia University President Lee Bollinger. During his talk, Ahmadinejad claimed that there are no homosexuals in Iran, raised questions about the factuality of the Holocaust, and urged the audience to investigate “who was truly involved” in the September 11 terrorist attacks, implying that Jews were responsible.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/09/24/us.iran/

October 2010: Columbia officially opened the Center for Palestine Studies at Columbia, the first American university to dedicate an institute to the study of Palestinian Arabs. Specifying that its mission is “supporting and defending the academic freedom of students, faculty and schools in the Occupied Territories,” the Center makes no pretense of intellectual objectivity and makes clear through its events and the faculty it hires that it supports the BDS movement which was designed to further the goals of terrorist groups like Hamas to delegitimize, weaken and destroy the Jewish State.

The co-directors of the Center are Columbia professor Rashid Khalidi and Barnard College professor Nadia Abu El-Haj. Khalidi is known for his extreme hostility to Israel which he has called “racist” and “basically an apartheid system in creation.”  El Haj has condemned academic researchers in Israel, claiming that the work of archaeology in Palestine/Israel is a screen for the “ongoing practice of colonial nationhood” and that the assumption that ancient Israelite kingdoms were once located in the land that constitutes modern-day Israel is a “pure political fabrication.”

The official Center website states that it was created to honor “the specific scholarly legacy of Professor Edward Said at the university where he taught for forty years.” The late Edward Said was a Columbia professor who preached in his academic writing and his extra-academic activities that Israel was both illegitimate and also a colonialist state. He was a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s Palestinian National Council until 1991 when he resigned because he thought Yasser Arafat’s policies were too moderate towards Israel.

Recent events hosted by the Center include a speech from BDS movement co-founder Omar Barghouti, who has compared Israel to Nazi Germany, on “Palestine’s South Africa Moment?” and a Teacher’s Workshop on “Citizenship and Nationality in Israel/Palestine” which included the false Hamas map—a form of cartographic genocide—which depicts the invasion and colonization of Arab “Palestine” by the Jews on its event poster.

March 10, 2014: Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) hangs a banner reading “Stand for Justice, Stand for Palestine” on Barnard Hall as part of its Israeli Apartheid Week. The banner, an advertisement for Israeli Apartheid Week, depicts Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip without any internal borders, buttressing SJP’s goal of destroying the Jewish state. After Jewish student groups complain about the banner, charging that its content is intrinsically anti-Semitic and that its placement directly in front of Barnard Hall implies university endorsement, it is ordered removed and a new banner policy for all groups is instituted.

April 29, 2014: Ali Abuminah, co-founder of the Electronic Intifada, a site dedicated to discrediting “the prevailing pro-Israeli slant in U.S. media coverage by offering information from a Palestinian perspective,” speaks on “The Battle for Justice in Palestine.” Abuminah has accused Israel of practicing “apartheid,” “ethnic cleansing,” and “attempted genocide” against the Palestinians. In his words, “Israel’s problem is not, as its propaganda insists, 'terrorism' to be defeated by sufficient application of high explosives.” Rather, Abunimah claims, “its problem is legitimacy, or rather a profound and irreversible lack of it.… Israel simply cannot bomb its way to legitimacy.”

November 17-20, 2014: Students for Justice in Palestine at Columbia hold “Right To Education Week” which “aims to document, research, and raise consciousness about the realities of education under Israeli occupation.” The week’s events include the creation of a mock checkpoint on Lowe Plaza and a panel on “Education Under Occupation.”

November 19, 2014: Former professor Steven Salaita, who was fired by the University of Illinois for his bigoted tweets on Jews and Israelis, speaks at Columbia in an appearance sponsored by several university institutes including the Center for Palestine Studies, the Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race, and the Center for the Study of Law and Culture. The tweets that led to his dismissal at Illinois included claims such as: “By eagerly conflating Jewishness and Israel, Zionists are partly responsible when people say anti-Semitic shit in response to Israeli terror” and “Never has the courage of Palestinians and the cowardice of their occupiers been so obvious for the world to see. #48March #Gaza.”

November 20, 2014: 1960s icon Angela Davis, a longtime leader of the American Communist Party and now a professor at UC Santa Cruz, speaks at Columbia on “Quotidian Carceralities [sic] in the U.S. and Occupied Palestine.” An online description of the lecture explains that it will discuss “the physical structures of incarceration, and the myriad connections between militarized policing of everyday life in the US—disproportionately affecting low-income African Americans, women, and trans populations—and Occupied Palestine today.”  Davis is known for her extreme anti-Israel views and support of the BDS movement. She says that the Palestinians “are transformed into immigrants, into undocumented immigrants, on their own land” and tells students that if they “support BDS, finally, Palestine will be free.”

December 2, 2014: Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement founder Omar Barghouti speaks to an “enormous and enthusiastic” crowd at Columbia University. Responding to a question about whether Jews have the right of self-determination, Barghouti responds, “One thing I do know– not at my expense... [They do not have] the right to expel us or to take our land.” An article about the event posted on the website Mondoweiss.net reports that “the audience broke into applause, the first time that any speaker had been interrupted by applause in two hours.” The talk was sponsored by the Center for Palestine Studies at Columbia.

March 23-27, 2015: Columbia SJP holds Israel Apartheid Week 2015 on campus. Events for the week include the erection of a mock “apartheid wall,” in front of Columbia’s famous Lowe Library, which displays the words “End Israeli Apartheid” in huge letters along with other anti-Israel propaganda including the claim that Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians is “separate and unequal.” SJP also hosts a panel on “Media, Solidarity, and Palestine” featuring a number of anti-Israel activists and writers including Hanine Hassan, a Columbia Ph.D. candidate whose work is described as examining “the long-term effects of humiliation as a tool of oppression by Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.” The claims that Israel is an apartheid state illegally occupying Arab Palestine are taken directly from Hamas propaganda.

On its Facebook page for the event, Columbia SJP draws a direct connection between the “apartheid week” and the BDS Movement: “We are beyond ecstatic this year for the 10th annual International Israeli Apartheid Week. Since its establishment in 2005, IAW has sought to raise awareness about the unjust apartheid policies of Israel and to bolster support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement.”

March 2015: During Israel Apartheid Week 2015, university administrators deny a request by the pro-Israel Columbia student organization Aryeh to reserve space opposite the mock “apartheid wall” constructed by SJP, where they have traditionally held a counter-protest against this event. Instead, an anti-Israel group, Jewish Voices for Peace, which promotes the BDS movement against Israel, is allowed to reserve the spot. Pro-Israel student Talia Lefkowitz writes in an op-ed in The Times of Israel: “Until now, Hillel’s pro-Israel groups have gathered together… in a counter-demonstration to stress the importance of conversation over confrontation. But without a place to park themselves this year, the pro-Israel groups are effectively being silenced.”

March 30, 2015: Two Columbia SJP members publish an op-ed in the Columbia Spectator arguing that Israel is an “apartheid state” and pushing the university to divest from Israel. The op-ed claims: “As Israeli Apartheid Week comes to an end, it is critical not only to remember but to also consider our roles as participants, whether directly or indirectly, consciously or unconsciously, in the ongoing occupation of Palestine. Just as students before us pressured university divestment from South African apartheid, let us follow in their footsteps and divest from Israeli apartheid.” By falsely comparing Israel to apartheid South Africa, SJP is deliberately charging the Jewish state with racism, considered the most unpardonable sin on college campuses today.

May 11, 2015: Columbia SJP hosts a panel titled “Existing and Resisting: Palestinian Women Tell Their Stories” which includes convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmea Odeh, now an associate director of the American-Arab Action Network, who was convicted by an Israeli military court in 1970 for her involvement in two fatal terrorist bombings. An article in the Columbia Chronicle stated that the event focused on “The struggles and tribulations Palestinian women face during the occupation of the Palestinian territories.” Odeh, who is currently facing deportation for lying about her crimes on her U.S. citizenship application, commented, “Yes, I am an American citizen, but also I am a Palestinian. I can’t close my eyes about my roots, about my pain that all my people go through. It’s part of my life. It’s part of my personality.”

June 2015: Columbia hosts a workshop on “Readings on Citizenship and Nationality in Israel/Palestine: Structures of Identity, Difference and Democracy.” Among the suggested discussion questions for the workshop are, “In what ways might principles of democracy be undermined by a legal system that includes/recognizes its minority civilly but not nationally?” and “Is there a point at which the uniquely Jewish character of the state of Israel undermines its identity as a democratic state? “

June 20, 2015: The Center for Palestine Studies at Columbia University in conjunction with the Middle East Institute hold a “Teachers’ Workshop” on “Citizenship and Nationality in Israel/Palestine.” The poster for the event displays the false and genocidal Hamas map which depicts the invasion and colonization of Arab “Palestine” by the Jews beginning in 1947.

Harvard University

Harvard University is in the forefront of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. It revealed itself to be one of the campuses most friendly to terrorists in 2012 through its decision to host a “One State” conference whose title is a code term for the annihilation of Israel as a Jewish state—the central goal of Hamas. Former Palestinian Liberation Organization spokeswoman Diana Buttu, then a fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, spoke at the conference. The following year, Harvard’s Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSC) holds an annual Israeli Apartheid Week which includes the display of an “apartheid wall” and the distribution of mock eviction notices and “apartheid testimonies” to students’ dorm rooms. In addition, Harvard University Dining Services made the unilateral decision to ban products from Israeli company SodaStream from Harvard’s dining halls, thereby perpetuating the Hamas-originated BDS movement on campus.

March 3-4, 2012: Harvard hosts a “One State” conference co-organized by several anti-Israel and anti-Jewish campus groups including Students for Justice in Palestine, the Palestine Caucus, the Arab Caucus, the Progressive Caucus, and the Association for Justice in the Middle East. Speakers at the conference included Electronic Intifada executive director Ali Abunimah, BDS supporter Dalit Baum, and radical academic and BDS supporter Ilan Pappe, among others.

Abuminah has accused Israel of practicing “apartheid,” “ethnic cleansing,” and “attempted genocide” against the Palestinians.”

Ilan Pappe is an Israeli political scientist who has written that “if you look at Israeli textbooks, curricula, media, and political discourse you see how this chapter in Jewish history - the chapter of expulsion, colonization, massacres, rape, and the burning of villages - is totally absent.” He has also said, “I fully support it [the bloody second intifada] and regard it as a popular movement determined to stop a peace process which would have destroyed Palestine once and for all.”

Dalit Baum is an Israeli professor and a strident supporter of BDS who co-founded a research initiative called “Who Profits from the Occupation.”

October 2012: Diana Buttu, a fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and former spokeswoman for the terrorist Palestinian Liberation Organization, speaks at the Kennedy School. Buttu is a supporter of the BDS movement against Israel and has said, “As much as Israel tries to claim they are not targeting civilians, they are — and the casualties speak volumes.”

March 3-8, 2013: Harvard University’s Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSC) holds an Israeli Apartheid Week on campus. The Week includes the display of an “apartheid wall,” the distribution of mock “eviction notices” to Jewish students in the dorms, and a speech by vehement critic of Israel, Professor Noam Chomsky, who admits that Palestinian terrorism exists, but says that “it’s very small as compared with the U.S.-backed Israeli terrorism.” Chomsky has also said that “you’d have to go back to the worst days of the American South to know what it’s been like for the Palestinians in the occupied territories.”

May 14, 2013: Harvard PSC shares anti-Israel poet Remi Kanazi’s “Nakba reminder” on its Facebook page. The “Nakba” or “catastrophe” is a term used by Hamas to describe the creation of Israel in 1948.

“Nakba Reminder: Israel is a racist state built on stolen Palestinian land. It is maintained through ethnic cleansing, occupation, bombing campaigns, draconian laws, settlements, outposts, colonizer roads, siege, blockade, chemical warfare, an apartheid wall, home demolitions, control of borders/imports/exports/water aquifers/air/sea/taxes/currency, the denial of family reunification, jailing of children, night raids, administrative detention, uprooting olive groves, restriction on movement, denying refugees the ability to return, and much more.”

September 29, 2014: Harvard’s Palestinian Solidarity Committee held a “die-in” to protest the Palestinians “massacred by Israel” during Operation Protective Edge. This view of the Gaza War is the one propagated by Hamas. In truth, Operation Protective Edge was a defensive military action undertaken by Israel to protect its citizens from rocket fire from Gaza and in response to the kidnapping and murder by Hamas of three Israeli teenagers.

“Die-in for Gaza today at Harvard. All the names of over 2,000 Palestinians massacred by Israel this past summer 2014 during Operation Protective Edge were read aloud and heard. The resistance remains steadfast. #‎neverforget #‎freepalestine

December 2014: An anti-Israel contingent of Harvard faculty and students persuaded Harvard University Dining Services (HUDS) to boycott products from Israeli company SodaStream. Harvard PSC emphatically supported the SodaStream ban, writing on its Facebook page, “Keep up the pressure today and send an email to Harvard admin and call President Faust! They need to hear that we support their decision to keep SodaStream out of our undergrads dining halls!” Harvard President Drew Faust and his top administrators were unaware of the boycott decision until it became a source of public controversy. They ultimately rescinded the boycott and launched an investigation into how it was enacted without university approval.

July 8, 2015: Harvard PSC reposted an article mourning the one year anniversary of Operation Protective Edge which depicts it as a “brutal military attack on the Palestinian population of the occupied and besieged Gaza Strip,” claiming also that “deliberate attacks on Palestinian civilians of this kind are part and parcel of an Israeli policy that aims to force Palestinians into submission and to thwart the Palestinian people’s exercise of its right to self-determination.”

https://www.facebook.com/psc.harvard/posts/934153829960050

August 2015: Harvard PSC reposted an article from the “US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation” urging its members to contact their members of Congress to ask them to support BDS against Israel.

“Last month, Congress held its first-ever hearing on the Palestinian civil society-led campaign for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel...without a single Palestinian witness or supporter of BDS! Instead, the hearing featured witnesses such as the CEO of SodaStream International, which is based in an illegal Israeli settlement, making it one of the primary corporate targets of BDS campaigns. Tell Congress you support BDS as a nonviolent strategy for ending Israel’s oppression of Palestinians and want to see a second hearing with pro-BDS witnesses. If we get 10,000 signatures on this petition, then we'll deliver it to the Congressional committee which held the hearing.”

Rutgers University-New Brunswick

Rutgers University-New Brunswick has shown itself friendly to Hamas terrorists through the open declarations of its students of an “Intifada” against Israel, its prominent Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, and its annual “Palestine Awareness Week,” which includes events such as a die-in to commemorate the “murdered civilians and children” of Operation Protective Edge. Operation Protective Edge was a defensive operation to protect Israel from rocket fire from Gaza, but Rutgers SJP takes the Hamas position that it was a bloodthirsty military offensive designed primarily to kill Palestinian civilians.

Supporting Evidence:

Date unknown: Rutgers SJP is captured on video chanting the Hamas slogan “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free.” This slogan reflects Hamas’ intention to cleanse Jews from the territory between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, the boundaries of Israel, and make this area a Palestinian “homeland.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShWMwqHpO_I

October 6, 2013:  Rutgers SJP violated university rules by sliding fake eviction notices under students’ dorm room doors. A Jewish student files a complaint stating that he, the only one on his floor to receive an eviction notice, was targeted because he was a Jew. These false eviction notices are a common SJP tactic to harass Jewish students.

September 2014: Rutgers SJP openly called for an “intifada” against Israel as part of an “International Day of Action” against Israel. A sign on the organization’s table reads, “From Ferguson to Gaza, Intifada Intifada” while other signs described Israel as an “apartheid” state and support the Hamas-inspired BDS campaign against Israel.

September 10, 2014: Rutgers SJP held an event titled “BDS: Breaking the Chains of Apartheid from S. Africa to Palestine.”

The introduction to the event excoriated Israel for defending itself in Operation Protective Edge: “Over 2,000 people were killed this summer and while a cease-fire may have been achieved, Israel has proven no law or treaty will stop its slow-motion genocide. Join Students for Justice in Palestine and start off the year by helping us put an end to Israel's war crimes through BDS-- boycott, divestment, and sanctions.”

November 11, 2014: As part of “Palestine Awareness Week,” Rutgers SJP held a die-in commemorating “the murdered civilians and children killed in Operation Protective Edge.” Such a statement is a repetition of Hamas’s propaganda concerning the defensive move by Israel to protect the Jewish state from increasing rocket fire from Gaza.

March 4, 2015: As part of its Israeli Apartheid Week, Rutgers SJP held an event titled “BDS and the Work of Anti-Normalization in Solidarity Activism with Palestine.” This event repeated Hamas’s line that the Palestinians should refuse civil dialogue and a “normalization” of relations with Israel.

March 31, 2015: Rutgers SJP held an event with speaker Tanya Keilani titled “Love Under Apartheid: How Israeli Apartheid Denies Palestinian Love.” Keilani explained her project: “Indigenous Palestinians have been living under Israeli military occupation for nearly 70 years now. Thinking about occupation historically and in the abstract, we may not comprehend the extent to which it affects the most private and intimate parts of Palestinian lives. My friend and her fiancé have already managed to defy the apartheid system by meeting, falling in love and becoming engaged to be married. These were huge obstacles to conquer, but even more difficulties lay ahead.”

“After reflecting on my friend’s story, I became outraged that, because of the Israeli occupation, she couldn’t be with the person she loved. I knew her story was not the only one of its kind, and proposed we collect those of others working to resist the apartheid that has defined and directed their lives.”

Keilani said,“The occupation’s need to preserve Jewishness first is the fundamental root of restrictions on the Palestinian right to love.”

April 4, 2015: Rutgers SJP posted a petition on its Facebook page on behalf of Khalida Jarrar, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council and senior representative of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist group, who was arrested by the Israel Defense Forces for violating an injunction ordering her not to leave the Jericho area. The Jerusalem Post reports: “According to the Shin Bet [Israel’s Security Agency], Jarrar is one of the dominant militant forces in the PFLP, and advocates for military resistance against Israel. Jarrar has been involved over the past few months in strengthening the PFLP in the West Bank, the Shin Bet said, including pushing its members to take part in terror attacks.”

April 6, 2015: Rutgers SJP held an event titled “Combat Cultural Appropriation with Dabke,” which accused Israel of appropriating Palestinian culture and food, in addition to occupying Palestinian land: “Israel claims that hummus, kunafa (cheese pastry soaked in sugary syrup), dabke (national dance of many Arab countries), and other inherent Arab-Palestinian cultural specialities are theirs. They have occupied our lands, and now they are occupying our Arab culture. Come out to this event to learn the best and most effective strategies to fight this cultural appropriation through BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions), while also learning some dabke and eating some delicious kunafa!”

April 7, 2015: Rutgers SJP held an event titled “Pinkwashing: Israeli Manipulation & Ignorance of the LGBTQI Community in Palestine.” Pinkwashing is a term used to claim that pro-Israel forces cynically highlight Israel’s strong support of gay rights—and the bias and violence against gays throughout the Arab world—to obscure their mistreatment of the Palestinians.

May 15, 2014: Rutgers SJP commemorated the Nakba on its Facebook page:

“The Nakba [Arabic for Catastrophe], happened on May 15th 1948 when the State of Israel was established and 700,000 Palestinians were forced out of their homes so new settlements could be made for the new state. This is how the Palestinian refugee crisis was born and to this day, many of Palestinians still are refugees and are living in camps in horrible conditions. They can’t even return to their homes or their lands which were owned by their ancestors.”

“66 years have passed as of today since the Nakba, and the Israeli government has done nothing but evict more Palestinian homes, imprisoned and killed numerous innocent Palestinian children and adults to this day!”

“The key [pictured on the event poster] is a symbol of the right of the return of the Palestinians to their home.”

“Today we remember and pray for all of those who were caused this injustice!”

San Francisco State University

San Francisco State University (SFSU) has repeatedly enabled the most extreme actions of its General Union of Palestinian Students (GUPS), a campus group that supports Hamas. The former president of GUPS wrote dozens of social media posts threatening violence to pro-Israel students, Israelis, the IDF and others. He also praised Hamas and the violent Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). GUPS holds annual Israeli Apartheid Weeks which demonize Israel as an apartheid state and commemorate the founding of Israel as “al-Nakba” or “the catastrophe.” It has also participated in an illegal attempt to prevent an Israeli ship from docking at the Port of Oakland. The faculty advisor for GUPS, Prof. Rabab Abdulhadi, met with terrorists Leila Khaled and Sheikh Raed Salah during a university-funded trip to the Middle East. (Khaled is a convicted hijacker and a member of the terrorist organization, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and Sheikh Raed Salah has been repeatedly jailed on charges of incitement to terrorist violence.) When questioned about the trip, San Francisco State administrators denied that Abdulhadi’s trip was an improper use of university funds. Abdulhadi also helped to broker a formal collaboration between SFSU and An-Najah National University in Palestine, which is known for its recruitment of students as cadre for Hamas and as suicide bombers.

Supporting evidence:

May 10, 2013: The General Union of Palestinian Students at SFSU advertised a teach-in on “From Pelican Bay and Guantanamo to Palestine: Prisons-Repression-Resistance” featuring over a dozen speakers including Hatem Bazian, a co-founder of Students for Justice in Palestine, an organization that has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Now a professor at UC Berkeley, Bazian was repeatedly accused of anti-Semitism during his days as a student at San Francisco State when, among other things, he claimed that the campus paper was full of Jewish spies. The teach-in is co-sponsored by numerous student groups and several official university outlets including Race and Resistance Studies-SFSU and the Cesar Chavez Student Center at SFSU.

December 5, 2013: During an “emergency rally” held by GUPS at SFSU, the phrase “My Heroes Have Always Killed Colonizers” was written with chalk on the concrete stage at Malcolm X Plaza. The same phrase, referring to the Hamas assertion that Jews have colonized Arab Palestine and must be exterminated, is also written on a sign at a display table during the “Edward Said Mural Celebration.” Said was a Columbia professor who was a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s Palestinian National Council until 1991 when he resigned because he thought Yasser Arafat’s policies were too moderate towards Israel.

January 2014: Two SFSU professors, Rabab Abdulhadi and Joanne Barker, took a university-sponsored trip to Middle East where they met with terrorists Leila Khaled and Sheikh Raed Salah during the “Labor Delegation to Palestine 2014.”

Abdulhadi serves as the faculty advisor to the General Union of Palestinian Students (GUPS) at SFSU. Barker is a Professor of American Indian Studies at SFSU who along with Abdulhadi has participated in an International Day of Action for Palestine Teach-in at UC, Berkeley.

Khaled has written extensively about growing up as a young girl during the “Israeli occupation” of Palestine and how “At that early age, we learned what The Occupation meant and how it invaded and dominated every aspect of our lives… We learned early on about the scarcity of resources and the harsh reality of The Occupation. We understood why we had to be careful not to let the faucets run; why water was so precious; why the neighbors’ son was killed; or why their home was demolished. We knew that nothing could be done if we missed our cousins; the chances of seeing relatives who lived in Amman, Cairo, Beirut, Kuwait or Saudi Arabia were almost nonexistent. The roads were closed.”

Documents reveal that Abdulhadi received more than $7,000 from the university towards the cost of the trip. Numerous Jewish groups urged SFSU to investigate whether she improperly used university funds for the trip, but SFSU concluded that these allegations “have no merit.”

February 2014: SFSU General Union of Palestinian Students (GUPS) President Mohammad G. Hammad was exposed as having written a number of threatening social media posts describing his wish to attack students, teachers and Israeli soldiers and to ally himself with anti-Israel terrorists including the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Hammad’s posts include:

A photo of himself holding a large knife with the caption: “I seriously cannot get over how much I love this blade. It is the sharpest thing I own and cuts through everything like butter and just holding it makes me want to stab an Israeli soldier…”

“I think about killing a lot.  And some of you are usually the targets of my daydreams J”

“You know what?  Israelis ARE colonizers, there is literally no way around it. And you know what else?  My heroes have always killed colonizers. I literally see nothing wrong with this. And my only regret is that not all colonizers were killed.”

In response to a poster that asked “how can I help actively support Palestine,” Hammad responded “Buy a keffieyh. Learn to tie it around your head…get in touch with some PFLP militants or arms dealers in the West Bank. Learn IDF patrol routes…BOOM.”

“Let’s play a game. Objective: Kill U.S. Soldiers. Goal: world peace.”

“The number of times I have legitimately considered flying back to the Middle East and joining the armed wing of the PFLP or something is surprisingly high.”

"I think about the time I tried to be - moderate - and advocate for non-violence and honestly I just want to go back in time and slit my own throat/and then the throats of all my enemies before they grow up into the shits they are today"

"Oh/And tomorrow is [hopefully] the day that I find out if I will be the President of the General Union of Palestine at my school/...Hopefully I'll be able to radicalize half of our population and bring them back with me as fighters."

After Jewish groups and the media exposed his postings, Hammad eventually left campus and was placed under investigation by the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the FBI.

May 8, 2014: GUPS disrupted a celebration of Israel Independence Day, Yom Ha’atzmaut, by staging a disruptive protest against the event in the middle of campus. SFSU’s Hillel director Alon Shalev described the disruption as involving “a large group of pro-Palestinians” who“entered the campus quad and held a counter-rally. July 5, 2014: GUPS at SFSU shared a message from the Palestinian Youth Movement, a “grassroots” organization that accuses Israel of “the ongoing Zionist colonization and occupation of our homeland,”on its Facebook page. It characterizes Israel’s military defensive campaign, Operation Protective Edge, as “Israel’s latest assault on the Palestinian people,” reflecting Hamas’s view of the conflict:

“The Palestinian Youth Movement calls on all its chapters, members, friends, and allies to hold an International mobilization in protest of Israel's latest assault on the Palestinian people. In the last two weeks, Israel has escalated its campaign against the Palestinian people, arresting hundreds, demolishing homes, bombing, shooting, and killing unarmed civilians.”

“Today the camps and villages are heroically resisting. We must organize quickly and effectively to stand up to Israel's arrogance, the Palestinian Authority's complicity, and the ‘international community’s’ indifference.”

“PYM calls on all members and friends to hold public demonstrations at Israeli embassies or central locations in your cities. We call on all members and friends to participate widely and document with photographs and videos the actions that are organized.”

Fall 2014: SFSU Professor Rabab Abdulhadi, faculty advisor to GUPS who took a university- sponsored trip to the Middle East where she met with terrorists Leila Khaled and Sheikh Raed Salah, posted on her Facebook page, “Today San Francisco State University’s All University Committee on International Programs unanimously voted to recommend that SF State formally collaborate with An-Najah National University in Nablus, Palestine. This is the first time that SFSU will collaborate with any university in a Palestinian, Arab or Muslim community.”

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has written of An-Najah University, “Today the student council of An-Najah is known for its advocacy of anti-Israel violence and its recruitment of Palestinian college students into terrorist groups. The council, almost completely controlled by factions loyal to Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah, glorifies suicide bombings and propagandizes for jihad against Israel. Hamas has described An-Najah as a ‘greenhouse for martyrs.’”

October 2014: Verbal assault: A Jewish student was walking home and was verbally assaulted by a few GUPS members. Jewish students on campus report that this is a regular experience of pro-Israel students who are often called “baby killers” and “Nazis” on campus.

November 5, 2014: GUPS at SFSU held the 7th Annual Edward Said Mural Celebration. Among the event’s speakers is Hatem Bazian, a co-founder of Students for Justice in Palestine, who, during speech at an anti-war rally in San Francisco in 2004, issued a call to violence and “intifada” in America:

“Well, we’ve been watching [an] Intifada in Palestine, we've been watching an uprising in Iraq, and the question is that what are we doing? How come we don't have an Intifada in this country? Because it seem[s] to me, that we are comfortable in where we are, watching CNN, ABC, NBC, Fox, and all these mainstream ... giving us a window to the world while the world is being managed from Washington, from New York, from every other place in here in San Francisco: Chevron, Bechtel, [Carlyle?] Group, Halliburton; every one of those lying, cheating, stealing, deceiving individuals are in our country and we’re sitting here and watching the world pass by, people being bombed, and it's about time that we have an Intifada in this country that change[s] fundamentally the political dynamics in here. And we know ... they're gonna say some Palestinian [is] being too radical. Well, you haven’t seen radicalism yet!”

University of California, Irvine

The University of California, Irvine deserves its reputation as a campus that is friendly to anti-Israel terrorists. This university holds an annual Israeli Apartheid Week which has been variously called “Anti-Zionism Week” and “Resisting Zionism.” During its most recent manifestation, Irvine Muslim Student Union (MSU) and Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) sold t-shirts printed with the slogan “UC Intifada,” stating their allegiance with Hamas. The back of the t-shirt reads “End Settler Colonialism” and contains images from the genocidal Hamas series of maps displayed during the “weeks” which falsely allege that the Arab nation of “Palestine” was infiltrated and ultimately taken over by Jews. Speakers invited to Irvine by the campus chapter of the Muslim Student Union include BDS movement founder Omar Barghouti and infamous terrorist-supporting anti-Semite, Amir Abdel Malik Ali, who has openly stated his allegiance to Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad. Irvine’s student senate unanimously passed a BDS resolution in 2012, one of the first student governments in the nation to do so. Irvine students even met with a prominent Hamas leader during a secret trip to the Middle East in 2009.

Supporting Evidence:

September 2009: Students participated in a campus program called the Olive Tree Initiative meet with prominent Hamas leader Aziz Duwaik during a trip to Israel and the West Bank.  The students are told to keep the meeting a secret to avoid being prevented from re-entering Israel from the West Bank and to avoid a conflict with Jewish community leaders and others who would have disapproved of the meeting.

February 2010: UC Irvine’s Muslim Student Union conducted a deliberate disruption of the speech of Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren on campus resulting in the arrest of nine of its members (and another two from the UC-Riverside chapter). MSU members stood up one at a time and shouted accusations at Oren including, “Mr. Oren, propagating murder is not an expression of free speech” and “Israel is guilty of 101 war crimes.” The MSU members refused to cease their disruption, even after an administrator repeatedly begged for civility and ultimately scolded the students: “Shame on all of you!” The tactics used by the MSU are in keeping with Hamas’ prohibition on the “normalization” of relations with Israel. The MSU received a one-year suspension, which was ultimately shortened to only one semester after the organization and its lawyer appealed.

July 14, 2014: UC Irvine SJP shared the following statement on Operation Protective Edge on its Facebook page, echoing Hamas’s position that the war it began is really an Israeli initiative to indiscriminately murder Palestinians:

“Israel’s war on Gaza is not an attempt to strike back at Hamas, nor was it in the 2008 war on Gaza or the previous wars it has waged against Palestinians. This is an attempt to murder as many Palestinians as they can before they decide to stop. If you are shocked that Israel is killing Palestinian women and children do not be, this is their intention and the principle on which their state was created. Every couple of years Israel wages a war on defenseless population in their quest to ethnically cleanse the Palestinian people. Remember, even if the current war stops, they will come back to kill more Palestinians in the future. Do not get comfortable today, and do not ignore Palestine tomorrow. Continue to spread awareness about what is happening. It should not take more than 150 lives for us to wake up and decide to care. Palestine is under occupation all day, every day. May we all see a free Palestine. #‎gazaunderattack#‎FreePalestine

In 2014, UCLA’s student government passed a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) resolution. It has hosted Hamas-supporting and Israel-hating speakers who support the BDS movement, including BDS founder Omar Barghouti and Electronic Intifada founder Ali Abuminah. It has sponsored a “Palestine Awareness Week” during which students promoted BDS and displayed a mock “apartheid wall” in an attempt to characterize Israel as an apartheid state and justify its destruction. In addition, UCLA hosted a “Nakba Week” commemorating the creation of Israel as a “catastrophe” – a term coined by Palestinian terrorists to demonize the Jews. UCLA’s student government attempted to force candidates for its offices to pledge not to accept trips to Israel sponsored by pro-Israel organizations.

May 16, 2015: UCLA SJP posted a statement on its Facebook page mourning “al-Nakba” or “the catastrophe,” by which they mean the creation of Israel and insist that it be thought of as “a present reality rather than a past event.” The Statement reads in part: “Many of us don’t realize that every Palestinian we meet, regardless of where they are from, has had their life profoundly shaped by the ethnic cleansing of Palestine on May 15, 1948. This event, known as al-Nakba (“the catastrophe”), was not just a one-time event but is ongoing, as Palestinians are continuously displaced by illegal Israeli settlements, and by devastating attacks. The Palestinian diaspora is faced with ongoing exile and statelessness, and by an erasure of their histories. It is our hope that these photos will help shed some light on how our fellow students at UCLA find the Nakba to be a present reality rather than a past event.”

July 8, 2015: UCLA SJP reposted an article on their Facebook page mourning the one-year anniversary of Israeli defensive action “Operation Protective Edge” which was described as a “brutal military attack.” Students for Justice in Palestine supported the Hamas terrorists in their aggressions against the Jewish state during the Gaza conflicts.

“One year ago today, Israel launched a brutal military attack on the Palestinian population of the occupied and besieged Gaza Strip. More than 2,200 Palestinians were killed, including 551 children, and more than 10,000 people were seriously injured and hundreds of thousands were made homeless, forcibly displaced and trapped inside Gaza. Deliberate attacks on Palestinian civilians of this kind are part and parcel of an Israeli policy that aims to force Palestinians into submission and to thwart the Palestinian people’s exercise of its right to self-determination.”

Another article posted on this date states: “The war in the summer of 2014 was not about rocket fire, Israeli security or Hamas: it was about subduing and disabling Gaza, something Israel has consistently been trying to do ever since it occupied the territory together with the West Bank nearly fifty years ago.” SJP’s sole purpose is promoting Hamas propaganda designed to demonize the Jews of Israel and support the aggressions of their terrorist enemies.

University of California, San Diego

UCSD’s student government was among the first in the nation to pass a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) resolution in 2013. UCSD has also hosted speakers who promote the terror group Hamas as well as the BDS movement. These include the disgraced, Holocaust-denying professor Norman Finkelstein and UC Berkeley lecturer and SJP co-founder and Muslim Brotherhood member Hatem Bazian. It sponsors an annual “Justice in Palestine” week which is financially supported by the university and several university departments during which SJP and MSA harass students with mock “checkpoints” and a mock “apartheid wall” measuring 40 feet long by 12 feet high plastered with Hamas-inspired propaganda including a series of genocidal maps that falsely claim that the Jews infiltrated and colonized the Arab nation of “Palestine.” In addition, during the Q&A period of a David Horowitz speech on campus in 2010, a member of UCSD’s MSA proudly admitted to supporting Hamas and the genocide of the Jews.

Supporting evidence:

Annual Apartheid Hate Weeks:

UCSD holds an annual “Justice in Palestine Week” on campus—its version of “Israeli Apartheid Week”— featuring an immense “Israeli Apartheid Wall” plastered with Hamas propaganda. These hate-fests also featured extremist anti-Israel speakers and supporters of the Hamas-inspired Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement. They are held with substantial funding totaling tens of thousands of dollars from the UCSD student government and with official sponsorship from university departments, professors and administrators.

In 2010, the Apartheid Wall was created with the help of $8,500 in student funds. Another $32,000 in student funds went to the sponsoring organization, the Muslim Students Association, for the anti-Israel speakers it brought in. These speakers included American Communist Party leader Angela Davis, anti-Semitic former professor Norman Finkelstein, and anti-Israel Berkeley lecturer Hatem Bazian. The hate week was supported by several university departments, including Ethnic Studies, Visual Arts and Literature, and by a division of the university, Thurgood Marshall College.

The “apartheid wall” featured the Hamas series of maps which depicts Israel as “occupied Palestine.”

A number of UCSD’s faculty gave testimonials in support of the hate week:

“As a faculty member at UCSD since 1986, I have rarely seen a more sophisticated and tempered demonstration of student activism as the Justice in Palestine calendar of events that took place last week… The Justice in Palestine calendar exposed our students to one of the major issues of the day and did so in a rational and pedagogically sound way. I congratulate the UCSD Muslim Student Association [sic] and all of our students who organized the events.”

Professor of Literature Jorge Mariscal

May 16, 2010

“I came to UCSD in 2003 and in the seven years I have been teaching here, I have never been as inspired by a group of students as I was last week at the conclusion of Justice in Palestine Week. From the speak-out on Library Walk and the presentations by the invited guests, to the construction of the mock Wall that anchored the week’s festivities, the entire event was not only impressive, but provided an exceptional laboratory of learning.”

Professor of Communication Gary Fields

May 18, 2010

“Hats off to the MSA! Last week’s series of events put on by the MSA obviously generated a great deal of student interest; seldom have I seen such a broad spectrum of students genuinely interested in becoming informed and hearing diverse opinions on complicated and controversial issues in which we all have a stake.”

“I want to congratulate the MSA for a fantastic week of presentations and discussions. Information and controversy make us stronger and are what the university is all about.”

In 2011, UCSD MSA and SJP again held Justice in Palestine Week on campus featuring an event with anti-Israel speaker and BDS supporter Allison Weir titled “What Every American Should Know About Palestine.” Weir is the founder and executive director of If America Knew, an organization which demonizes Israel. Weir has said that America’s support for Israel makes us an “accomplice to war crimes and an accessory to oppression.” The week also included a panel composed of UCSD professors titled “Palestine Under Siege.” Professors participating in the hate week included Prof. Rosaura Sanchez, Prof. Gary Fields, Prof. Martin-Luis Cabrera, and Prof. Daniel Widener. Official sponsors of the hate week included UCSD’s Cross Cultural Center and the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at UCSD.

The week also featured a large mock “apartheid wall” covered in anti-Israel propaganda including a picture of Israel dripping blood, a list of the “Effects of Apartheid Wall,” and a section on the effects of “psychological apartheid.”

In total, the UCSD student government gave a total of $9991.82 to the MSA to hold this genocidal hate week. In all, the MSA received $15,451.32 from student funds during the 2010-2011 school year while SJP received an additional $4951.03.

In 2015, SJP and MSA again collaborated on “Justice in Palestine Week.” Online posters for the event stated “The Wall is Coming” and photos on MSA’s website depicted the construction of a fake “apartheid wall.” The resulting wall was approximately 40 feet long and 12 feet high and plastered with anti-Israel propaganda.

May 2010: During a visit to UCSD’s campus in May 2010, David Horowitz had the following exchange with UCSD student and Muslim Students Association member Jumanah Imad Albahri during the Q&A period after his presentation:

Jumanah Imad Albahri: Good evening. My name is Jumanah Imad Albahri and I am a student here at UCSD. I was reading your literature. I found that much more interesting than the talk. And I found some interesting things about the MSA, which is an organization that is very active on campus and it is hosting our annual “Hitler Youth Week.” You should come out to those events. If you could clarify the connection between the MSA and Jihad terrorist networks, because last I checked, we had to do our own fundraising and we never get help from anyone. So if you could clarify the connection between UCSD’s MSA, or if you don’t have such information, if you could connect other MSAs on UC, because the connection wasn’t too clear in the pamphlet.

David Horowitz: Will you condemn Hamas here and now?

Jumanah Imad Albahri: I’m sorry, what?

Horowitz: Will you condemn Hamas?

Albahri: Would I condemn Hamas?

Horowitz: As a terrorist – genocidal – organization?

Albahri: Are you asking me to put myself on a cross?

Horowitz: So you won’t. I actually have had this experience many times. You didn’t read the pamphlet [“The Muslim Students’ Association and the Jihad Network”], because the pamphlet gives chapter and verse on the connection. The main connection is that the MSA is part of the Muslim Brotherhood network as revealed in the documents produced by the FBI in the Holy Land Foundation trial.

Albahri: I don’t think you understood what I meant by that. I meant, if I say something, I’m sure that I will be arrested for reasons of Homeland Security. So if you could please just answer my question.

Horowitz: If you condemn Hamas, Homeland Security will arrest you?

Albahri: If I support Hamas – because your question forces me to condemn Hamas – if I support Hamas, I look really bad.

Horowitz: Well, if you don’t condemn Hamas, obviously you support it. Case closed. I had this same experience at UC Santa Barbara where there were fifty members of the Muslim Students Association sitting right in the rows there. And throughout my hour talk, I kept asking them, “Will you condemn Hezbollah and Hamas?” And none of them would. And then, when the question period came, the President of the Muslim Students’ Association was the first person to ask questions. And I said, “Before you start, will you condemn Hezbollah?” And he said, well, that question is too complicated for a yes/no answer. So I said, okay, I’ll put it to you this way. I am a Jew. The head of Hezbollah has said that he hopes that we will gather in Israel so he doesn’t have to hunt us down globally. For it or against it?

Albahri: For it.

Horowitz: Thank you. Thank you for coming and showing everybody what’s really going on here.

March 13, 2013:  UCSD’s BDS campaign succeeded in passing a resolution in student government that calls for the university’s divestment from companies profiting from Israeli occupation by a vote of 20-12-1. The BDS movement has been denounced by former Harvard president Larry Summers as anti-Semitic. Its sole purpose is to weaken and destroy the Jewish state.

October 16, 2014: The Critical Gender Studies Program at UCSD held an event on “Gender, War, & Accountability: Palestinian Resistance & Feminist Solidarity.” Topics to be discussed include “The racist and gendered images and statements deployed by the Israeli officials and citizens to legitimize the violence.” In the discussion on “gender,” this forum ignores the fact Israel is the only nation in the Middle East to fully guarantee the rights of women and to make sure that they don’t face abuse and violence in their daily domestic lives.

November 14, 2014: UCSD SJP gathered signatures in support of convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmeah Odeh. Odeh was convicted by an Israeli military court in 1970 for her involvement in two fatal terrorist bombings. Odeh has claimed that she was tortured into confessing to the Israeli bombings, but U.S. prosecutors looking into her immigration fraud have uncovered Israeli military reports that they found “explosive bricks in her room” along with “extensive bomb-making materials and explosives.”

The demonstration included a large sign protesting that “Rasmeah is innocent.”

January 29, 2015: UCSD SJP held a workshop on “Cultural Appropriation and Food Politics.”

March 12, 2015: UCSD SJP posted a statement on its Facebook page in defense of Palestinian terrorist Rasmeah Odeh, who was subsequently convicted of lying about her crimes on her application for U.S. citizenship.

“U.S. District Judge Gershwin Drain handed down a sentence of 18 months for immigration fraud plus a revocation of Rasmea’s citizenship, falsely labeling her a “terrorist” and a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.”

“This kind of structural racism and blatant disregard for Israel's history of the unlawful torture of Palestinians is consistently ignored by the American judicial and executive systems as they fail to afford Palestinians and Palestinian Americans their basic rights, thus endorsing Israel's inhuman practices and criminalizing Palestinians as terrorists. #‎Justice4Rasmea

April 23, 2015: UCSD SJP held a forum on “Environmental Racism” alleging that Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians causes environmental hardship in the disputed territories.

May 15, 2015: UCSD SJP posted this comment on the Nakba (catastrophe) on their website:

“Today marks 67 years since the 1948 expulsion, dispossession, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in what is widely known as Al-Nakba, or the Catastrophe. As Bayan reminded us at last night’s JIP event, the Nakba is not just a historical event - it is an ongoing phenomenon as Palestinians are continuously subjected to occupation, erasure, and displacement at the hands of the Zionist state of Israel.”

“These are all terrorist lies whose aim is the destruction of the Jewish state.”

May 4, 2015: UCSD SJP used the genocidal Hamas map which shows Arab “Palestine” being colonized and overtaken by Jews as the graphic for an online event poster for a teach-in on “Common Misperceptions.”

“This teach-in will address common misconceptions that people have regarding the Israeli occupation of Palestine. We will discuss statements Zionists use to deny the occupation and the discourse used to portray Israel as anything other than a settler colonial project.”

“Please attend this event if you plan on educating people on library walk during Justice in Palestine Week. This event is also open to community!”

University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor has hosted an extremely active Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign which has led to death threats and ethnic slurs being directed at Jewish students that oppose it, by campus organizations associated with terror groups. Michigan’s pro-BDS group, which calls itself Students Allied for Freedom and Equality (SAFE), stages annual “Palestine Awareness Weeks” to support BDS and label Israel as a racist, apartheid state. SAFE has also distributed mock “eviction notices” in violation of campus rules, and has held events to condemn Israel’s defensive actions during Operation Protective Edge and to support Rasmeah Odeh, a Palestinian terrorist who was convicted by an Israeli military court in 1970 for her involvement in two fatal terrorist bombings. Through the efforts of SAFE, Michigan has also hosted extremist anti-Israel speakers including BDS movement founder Omar Barghouti and Electronic Intifada co-founder Ali Abuminah, who has accused Israel of practicing “apartheid” and “ethnic cleansing” against the Palestinians. SAFE has led several walkouts from the appearances of pro-Israel speakers, supporting a Hamas tactic of refusing any dialogue or “normalization” of relations with the enemy.

Supporting Evidence:

February 22-25, 2010: SAFE staged an “End Israel Apartheid Week” featuring a talk on “Examining Israeli Apartheid Through Art” and a mural-painting activity meant to symbolize the painting of the apartheid “wall” (really a security fence) that keeps Israel safe from Hamas terrorists. Advertisements for the week describe the work of one artist, Toby Milman, as “highlight[ing] the struggles Palestinians endure under Israel's military occupation of the West Bank.” The section on the mural-painting states, “Many Palestinians and human rights activists resist the West Bank separation wall that encloses them through art, painting murals and statements on the wall which often cuts them off from their land, their families, and their homes. Join SAFE in painting our own mural to symbolize such segregation and resistance.”

October 23, 2010: U Michigan SAFE staged a protest and walkout of an Israel Defense Forces soldier who was invited to speak on campus:

“As the first soldier, Omer, started speaking and nearly all of the event’s attendees stood up, taped their mouths shut and revealed red shirts bearing the names and ages of children killed during the Gaza invasion. Omer continued to give his presentation to a sea of red-garbed, silent protestors and went on to claim that Israel goes out of its way to avoid targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure when engaging in counter-terrorism. He spoke of how proud he was to have served in an army with a moral code that preserves human life. About fifteen minutes into Omer’s speech, the protestors stood up in unison and filed out in utter silence. As they walked out, two students held up signs that read: ‘We stand today for those who have been silenced’ and ‘Stand with us against injustice and walk out on oppression.’ At this, several of the remaining attendees also rose and left. By 4:20 the room was nearly empty, with only a handful of people still seated.”

October 26, 2011: U Michigan SAFE staged a walkout of an address by Israeli diplomat and former IDF soldier Ishmael Khaldi. By refusing to engage in dialogue with a pro-Israel speaker, SAFE was following the Hamas policy banning normalization of relations with the Jewish State.

This statement was posted on the SAFE Facebook page: “Monday October 26, Ishmael Khaldi who is an Israeli diplomat, a former IDF soldier, and the top advisor to Avigdor Lieberman (Israeli minister of foreign affairs and one of the most racist men alive--read this article for some of his racism riddled statements: http://tgr.ph/eO0fBe ) came to our campus to speak. Ishmael Khaldi came to speak to us on behalf of the Israeli government and as an Arab-Muslim-Bedouin who ‘made it’ in Israel. We silently protested and walked out on him to show that there is no room on this campus for propaganda.”

April 9-13, 2012: U Michigan SAFE held “Palestine Awareness Week” on campus. The week included a mock apartheid wall plastered with the names of “Palestinian Victims” as well as Hamas-inspired propaganda signs labeling Israel an apartheid state and claiming that the majority of U.S. aid to Israel goes to “the brutalization of Palestinians and their land.”

December 2013: U Michigan SAFE violated campus solicitation policy by passing out mock eviction notices targeting Jewish students in student dorms:

In response to criticism, the group declared:

“SAFE’s recent #‎UMMockEviction campaign is raising a lot of conversation on campus. While some are trying to derail the discussion by centering themselves or by raising issues of privacy or solicitation, it’s important that we don't lose sight of the main purpose of the initiative: raising awareness and demanding that our university divests from socially unjust and unethical corporations that facilitate the displacement of Palestinians from their homes and land.”

January 10 2014: BDS movement founder Omar Barghouti spoke at the University of Michigan. In response to questions about the education he received at Israeli universities, Barghouti declared “Palestinians living under oppression with Israeli IDs who pay tax to the Israeli system of oppression, to the apartheid state, have no choice but to use the services of the oppressor.”

July 17, 2014: During Operation Protective Edge, an Israeli defensive military action in response to increasing rocket fire from Gaza, U Michigan SAFE supported the Hamas view that Israel is the aggressor and held a “Candlelight Vigil for Gaza.”

“Given the recent and ongoing brutality of Israel’s ‘Operation Protective Edge,’ Gaza is enduring horrific crimes against humanity as civilians are continuously targeted in their homes, hospitals, and mosques. Please take action and join SAFE in standing in solidarity with Gaza for a candlelight vigil on the Diag on Thursday, July 17th at 10pm. Also remember to keep Gaza in your duas and prayers.”

December 4, 2014: U Michigan SAFE held an event with former professor Steven Salaita who was fired from the University of Illinois for anti-Israel and anti-Semitic tweets.

The event is titled: “Palestine, Academic Freedom, and the New McCarthyism,” implying that holding professors such as Salaita responsible for their public utterances is a form of McCarthyism.

March 30, 2015: U Michigan SAFE held an event with anti-Israel activist and BDS supporter Josh Ruebner on “Why the University of Michigan Should Divest.” Ruebner is the National Advocacy Director of the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation. He has said that Congress is controlled by the “fearsome power of the Israel Lobby,” and that U.S. aid to Israel means that “U.S. taxpayers are thereby made complicit in Israel’s systematic violation of Palestinian human rights, its military occupation and illegal colonization of Palestinian land, and its apartheid policies toward Palestinians which deny them freedom and self-determination.”

University of New Mexico

UNM has earned its place on the List of the 10 Colleges Most Friendly to Terrorists through its active Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, its passage last year of a resolution opposing Islamophobia, a concept popularized by the Muslim Brotherhood to censor all criticism of Islam which it defined as “dislike or prejudice against Islam or Muslims, especially as a political force,” and a slew of extremist speakers including BDS movement founder Omar Barghouti and former professor Steven Salaita who was fired by the University of Illinois for his bigoted tweets on Israel and the Jews.

Supporting evidence:

January 31, 2013:

Omar Barghouti spoke at UNM in behalf of the BDS movement he founded. Barghouti has frequently compared Israeli practices to those of Nazi Germany, saying, “Many of the methods of collective and individual ‘punishment’ meted out to Palestinian civilians at the hands of young, racist, often sadistic and ever impervious [sic] Israeli soldiers at the hundreds of checkpoints littering the occupied Palestinian territories are reminiscent of common Nazi practices against the Jews.”

September 2014: UNM SJP encouraged students to attend a local talk by Josh Ruebner from the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation. Ruebner has said that the U.S. Congress is controlled by the “fearsome power of the Israel Lobby,” and that U.S. aid to Israel means that “U.S. taxpayers are thereby made complicit in Israel’s systematic violation of Palestinian human rights, its military occupation and illegal colonization of Palestinian land, and its apartheid policies toward Palestinians which deny them freedom and self-determination.”

“In the early morning hours of Thursday, April 2, dozens of Israeli occupation soldiers raided the home of Palestinian parliamentarian Khalida Jarrar, a prominent leftist leader, feminist, and human rights advocate, arresting her, kicking down the door and holding her husband in a separate room. A leader in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Jarrar defeated an Israeli occupation attempt in September 2014 to expel her from Ramallah to Jericho for six months. April 2015: Students for Justice in Palestine attempted to pass a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) resolution in the undergraduate student senate at the last meeting of the year. The resolution contained numerous falsehoods, including the charge that “since 1967 Israel has been recognized by international law as an occupying power of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza, hereafter referred to as the Occupied Palestinian Territories” and that “more Palestinians were killed in 2014 than in any other year since 1967 due in large part to the 50-day military offensive in Gaza called 'Operation Protective Edge' which resulted in the death of 2,300 Palestinians.” Following a three-hour debate, the resolution failed, leading all SJP supporters to immediately exit the room.
