The Terrorist Propaganda Campaign on Boston Campuses

We live in surreal times. On our most prestigious university campuses, Hamas-designed genocidal campaigns are being conducted by officially recognized student organizations supported by university funds. These organizations – Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and the Muslim Students Association (MSA) – were created by operatives of the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of Hamas. Hamas, a terrorist party whose official agendas, inscribed in its charter, are the destruction of the state of Israel and the extermination of the Jews. Recently, the David Horowitz Freedom Center published a report naming the “10 Campuses Most Friendly to Terrorists” to highlight the worst of these abuses. Two of the most prestigious schools in the Boston area – Harvard University and Brandeis University – made the list. The full documentation of the Jew-hating, genocidal activities of the student organizations supported by these universities runs for many pages (and is available atwww.stopthejihadoncampus.org).

In the spring of 2012, Harvard hosted a “One State” conference about the conflict in the Middle East. “One State” is code for the annihilation of Israel as a Jewish state, one of Hamas’s goals. Speakers included Electronic Intifada executive director Ali Abunimah, who has accused Israel of practicing “apartheid” and “ethnic cleansing” against the Palestinians; Dalit Baum, a strident supporter of the Hamasinspired Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, and Ilan Pappé, a notorious Israel-hating academic who is a vocal supporter of the second anti-Israeli intifada led by suicide bombers and Fatah terrorists.

As bad as the situation is at Harvard, terrorist propaganda is even more ubiquitous at Brandeis, a school founded by Jews and named for the first Jewish justice on theSupreme Court. Under pressure from Muslim Brotherhood front groups and the campus left, Brandeis administrators rescinded an honorary degree to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a prominent opponent of Islamic terrorism and misogyny. For years, Brandeis hosted a secret listserve where prominent professors exchanged emails attacking Israel and supporting BDS. For example, in a post discussing the brutal murder of three Israeli teenagers by Hamas terrorists, Brandeis Professor Donald Hindley lashed out at what he termed “The Vile, Terrorist Israeli Government,” and commenting “Zionist olive trees grow wondrously on Palestinian corpses…In that way, we combine great trees with our own holocaustic ethnic cleansing.”

The Brandeis chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine holds an annual “Israel Apartheid Week” on campus during which terrorist propaganda inspired by Hamas is disseminated on campus. One recent “Apartheid Week” event was titled “Facing the Ongoing Nakba.” (Nakba, which means “catastrophe” is the Hamas name for the creation of the Jewish state.) The “Nakba” event included the display of a series of Hamas maps that depict a Palestinian state in 1947, which is steadily infiltrated and occupied by Jews who transform it into today’s Israel – “occupied Palestine” in their view.

The fraudulent maps were designed by Hamas to justify the destruction of the Jewish state. That they are now on display at Brandeis, and Harvard, and dozens of universities across America shows that the terrorist infiltration of our campuses is real. And prestigious universities are supporting and funding it.
