At Cornell’s annual Israel Day, a celebration of Israel on its independence day, a group of about 30 SJP students gathered to protest the event for about half an hour. According to those present at the event, the protesters marched down Ho Plaza in four columns and then held a die-in on the patch of grass in front of Anabel Taylor Hall where the celebration was taking place. Most had red tape over their mouths.

After several posters criticizing the pro-Hamas group Students for Justice in Palestine were found at the UCLA campus Thursday morning, the Daily Bruin, UCLA’s campus newspaper, defended the group as victims of “offensive” accusations. The posters had read “Stop SJP because it promotes…” and linked SJP as supporters of Hamas with pictures of Hamas terror victims and the quotes, “Terror Groups that oppress women,” “Terror Groups that kill gays,” and “Terror Groups that persecute Christians.”

On April 13, 2015, The Massachusetts Daily Collegian, a student paper at the University of Massachusetts, published a column titled Deal with Iran is a bad one. The piece was written by a conservative student attending UMass Amherst, and it explains why the recent framework of a deal with Iran is potentially “a dangerous one with disconcerting historic parallels.”

On Thursday, twenty Jewish and education advocacy groups organized by TheAMCHA Inititative wrote the University of California (UC) Riverside chancellor calling on him to cancel an anti-Semitic course being offered this quarter. The class, titled, “Palestine & Israel: Settler-Colonialism and Apartheid,” is being taught by Tina Matar, an undergraduate student in UC Riverside’s Students for Justice in Palestine chapter.

The world is witnessing a resurgence of global anti-Semitism not seen since the 1930s and the “Final Solution.” In the Middle East, Hitler-admiring regimes like Iran, and Hitler-admiring parties like Hezbollah, Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, are openly planning to finish the job the Nazis started. Even in America, until now the most hospitable place outside of Israel for Jews, the atmosphere is more hostile than at any time in the last 70 years.

Students reported finding several offensive posters on campus early Thursday that describe the group Students for Justice in Palestine as supporting terror groups, less than two months after posters with similar messages were reported across campus.

The posters, found near the De Neve area, read “Stop SJP” and claimed the organization supports groups that oppress women, kill gay individuals and persecute Christians.
