The University of Pittsburgh chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine plans to host an event on Holocaust Remembrance Day, which falls this year on Thursday. The purpose of this event is not to commemorate the Holocaust but rather to vandalize the day by painting Israelis as modern-day Nazis.

This video showcases the fallacious, anti-Semitic, and genocidal campaign conducted by Students for Justice in Palestine at campuses across America and the "Apartheid Walls" they have erected to demonize and delegitimize the Jewish state. Jew Hatred on Campus is screening this film as part of its teach-ins on Jew Hatred on Campus across the nation.

A Jewish Stanford University student, Molly Horwitz, is claiming that an umbrella group for six student organizations, the Students of Color Coalition (SOCC), whose powerful support she sought in order to run for the Stanford’s student Senate, discriminated against her because she is Jewish. She told The Stanford Review that one of SOCC’s leaders asked her, “Given your strong Jewish identity, how would you vote on divestment?”

Columbia University Professor Joseph Massad, a controversial speaker who in the past has written and spoken about alleged Zionist-Nazi collaboration and the “Anglo-American gay agenda,” delivered a speech at Cornell claiming Israel has no right to exist as a Jewish state, and recognizing it as such is equivalent to recognizing Israel as a “racist state.”

There is a rash of anti-Semitism now sweeping college campuses. I know this because my organization, Middle East Political and Information Network (MEPIN), is continually being asked to sign letters to college presidents throughout the country responding to the growing number of anti-Semitic incidents, insisting that universities maintain a safe environment for Jewish students.

As a Jewish child, I was taught every year about the significance of Passover. I was taught about the Jews’ 210 years of slavery in Egypt, the burning bush, Moses demanding that Pharaoh let the Jewish people go, the ten plagues, the Jews eventual freedom. This story was taught to show us that Passover is a time of celebration because we were once slaves, but are now free. But if we are truly free, why does it seem like most of my fellow Jews have forgotten that fact?

Andrew Pessin, Professor of Philosophy at Connecticut College, is the latest casualty in the campus-based culture wars. Dr. Pessin is a well-liked and much published professor, self-described as the “only Jewish professor on campus who openly advocates for Israel.” And now, for remarks made during last summer’s Gaza war, he faces an attack from Palestinian supporters seeking to silence pro-Israel stances on campus.

On April 2, the Daily Californian, which is Berkeley’s campus newspaper, published an article I wrote giving the reasons why I had organized a campaign against Students for Justice in Palestine.
